I see Jukebox Diner is still standing but I cant tell if the gokarts are. Hopefully GR8 SK8 will surface again, if they can find a spot then the County Fair or Carolina Boardwalk would make nice homes. Since the train is still on the rails, my guess is that they will reroute it again. Afterburn's drop is 125 feet with a 113 feet lift. The actual coaster stands 144 feet tall.

Crazy to see they removed GR8 SK8, but good to see they are starting on the restaurant... do you think it will be complete in 1 month ready for opening.... I have a feeling it wont be opened until a little later, more toward summer when the heavy crowds hit and the park opens all week... Hope I am wrong though. I wonder what they will do with the train as well... maybe they will make it travel through dinosaurs alived DId anyone else notice platinum pass holders get unlimited dinosaurs alive for $5? hahahaha

I dont think that restaurant will be completed until 2015. They have to deal with the issue of drainage in that area before they even begin to start building on top of it.

I wonder if we can count the fact that Carowinds.com still has GR8 SK8 and Snoopy's Junction as a sign that the two will be returning. Log Flume was gone quicker and Carowinds confirmed on fb that Road Rally was leaving sooner than this. I dont an easy place in PS to put GR8 SK8, any thoughts?

I hope you are being sarcastic...
1) Goldrusher or Nighthawk wasn't removed to place Windseeker.
2) The cost to dismantle, demo and build new footings, reassemble the ride would be prohibitive for A)Putting the ride back where it was.
B)Adjusting the ride's location by a few feet.

If GR8 SK8 returns, it will be in a new part of either Planet Snoopy or the park. We are not talking about a transportable ride like Jets where the ride is mounted on trailer and can be moved by a pickup truck(or forklift).

Looks like the entrance for the sky flyer are in close proximity to Windseeker's entrance. Also, it appears that half of the pond will be staying. I could be wrong:

I believe that to just be for maintainance, the Kid Kiosk seems to line up infront of Skycoaster perfectly for either the ticket booth or flight suits.
