Does anybody know when carowinds starts testing their rides or when the 2014 map will be released on the website?

How would you all feel if the new coaster was a 300ft bobsled. I know it's a dying breed of coaster but I still enjoy avalanche at KD.

Actually, that breed is trying to come back. Knoebels just open flying turns last year...I hope this?leads the way for more to pop up!

You are absolutely right. I did forget about Knobles opening Flying Turns. I wonder if wood versions ride better than steel.

If Flying Turn is as intense as it looks in POVs, I wouldnt mind having one in Planet Snoopy. However, Avalanche at KD...NO THANKS.

Avalanche is good if you get a smooth car/train. I've had great rides on it as well as crazy rough rides.

As of yesterday you can see movement in the waterpark if you're interested in that sort of thing.

No one knows for sure, but based on the late start time that even ground clearing started, I'm going to say no.

Ok but that will be a great addition not only food wise but scenery wise as well. is it just me or does carowinds seem small compared to all the other cedar fair parks?

I think only Cedar Point, Kings Island and Kings Dominion are bigger in area. Canada's Wonderland is a comparable size. But it's MUCH bigger than Dorney, Valleyfair, Worlds of Fun, Michigan's Adventure, Knott's or Great America.

So, it's just you.

I've been to cedar point and remember it being much bigger than carowinds but I think they are running out of space on that island.
