Another vote for Peanuts Pirates, Woodstock Express, and Woodstock's Gliders in Planet Snoopy! Any adult skipping these rides is missing out!

So, I have a hard time justifying paying more for the passes. I'd probably save some money and just do one day at King's Dominion next year or something like that.

I hate to be "that guy" but in actuality, the park will have MORE that you can do next year, you just have to want to do it. They lost one coaster, a coaster many of us never even rode on every visit. If the tallest giga coaster wont do it, i'm sure nothing else under their sleeves will . . .

To be fair, he said a lack of things he'd be interested in doing. Not everyone is a water park/Starbucks person.

I know what he said. And I still stand my post. It's crazy how carowinds opens the tallest giga coaster on the earth yet people are acting like they make sure to ride thunder road every time they went. It's one less ride to ride . . .one. If that justifies someone to not get a pass then maybe they shouldn't have a pass in the first place.

Everyone doesn't have to be a water park person to still enjoy the park minus one less ride that we barely rode in the first place. If Fury 325 isn't enough then I dont think anything is. Just saying . . .

I am on the fence to renew next year. I am a mean mom who made her three kids 12,9 and 7 go to Carowinds once a week all summer lol. Yesterday the oldest complained as always while we were there... sigh.... Since the youngest is now at the 54 inch mark we thought about going Platinum next year and finally venturing to other parks. For passes with the dining plan it will be right at 1500  so trying to decide if they would enjoy it for that much. If we don't renew it won't be because of the changes. I think going for the past four years has become boring to the kids.

I will likely renew but will downgrade to the gold pass. I had bought a platinum pass this year with hopes of hitting some of the other parks but then decided to do Universal and Busch Gardens Tampa instead. Next year I am also planning on buying a season pass to Dollywood since I hope to be living closer to there.

rhpsmagenta, that is a hard pill to swallow if they don't enjoy the other parks for sure.

I'll be renewing mine at the Platinum level with the dining option. :D Why? 'cause I have enjoyed the multiple parks, free parking, mostly free food and discounts and will enjoy Scarowinds, also for free. Well not free but a heck of a lot cheaper than those paying full daily prices.

I understand tho how many won't. I stopped for a few years as I too was bored from going year after year after year with nothing added just some repurposed attractions. But, now with a water park redo / upgrade and a better future I will actually go get wet and get excited about 2017 and beyond.

For those of you who aren't gonna renew just because they didn't build what YOU wanted....so sad. Cedar Fair gives you awesome new coasters, new experiences, new foods, better atmosphere and a great general manager but boohoo I didn't get my way. But, in the long run I don't think you are making any kind of statement.

Remember, it takes money to build and upgrade. Stop putting gas in your car and see how far you can go.

My family really enjoyed Thunder Road. We rode multiple times on every trip. Since TR closed my family doesn't want to go to Carowinds. We've had many opportunities but everyone has said they didn't want to go. It looks like we might not renew our passes.

Well I've been a platinum holder for over 5yrs and have made up my mind that I will always be one because I go to the others as well a few times. That goes for 6flags and Dollywood as well.

My family wants to go but I would rather stay home and work on my model amusement park. I don't feel like I should have to go just because the other two members of the family want to go. I have went to Carowinds many a time without them, what is wrong with them going without me?

I have a silver pass this year (I'm up at college all through SCarowinds and have friends with free parking) and unfortunately don't plan on renewing next year. It has nothing to do with what they did to TR or what they are doing next year. It's because I don't plan on being home for more than a few weeks so I cant justify paying almost $100 to go 2-3 times (yeah I know it's a "good deal" compared to single day tickets but to me since I've been there 100 times, its not worth it. Since 2008 or 2009 I've gone between 5 and 15 times in a season)

In a way I feel bad about not getting a pass because I think Carowinds does deserve my business, I just don't need one next year /:
