I'm not pointing fingers, but making a general statement....

Can we hold off on criticizing the new area until it is finished? They are still working on things and we don't know what all the plans are for finish work. Remember, Michelangelo's David was once an ugly piece of rock until he finished it. Give Carowinds a chance to finish. Then if you still don't like, voice your opinion.

It just seems that since they have finished the construction of the coaster, everyone has been looking for something to talk about and usually it is how they are unhappy with something at the new entrance.

Sorry, wasn't trying to offend anyone. All the negativity just gets a bit much sometimes.

I hope that wasn't directed at me. I love the new entrance and can't wait to see the finished product. Since we know that Carowinds reads these boards AND we know that someone said they weren't doing anything to the existing lot FOR NOW, I was just using that as a place to let them know (which they probably do but it makes me feel better) that people do look at the cover of a book and judge the inside. Wasn't trying to be negative at all in my statement. Can't speak for others.

I ain't a new Plantation House but there are More Trees, a Flat Bridge, New Restrooms, More Parking, and new memories to be made. Hmm, I just found some symbolism....same love, new beginning. Relish the past but embrace the future. It appears I have Let It Go!

According to the map, the gift shop under Fury will be called "The Hive at 325".
And Slinghot will have a small counter with convenience items for sale, like Ripcord.

Looks like the building that was in the way of the new path across the bridge is gone... at least on the map.

anyone know what they are building by the bridge over the maitenance road? I was thinking the fastlane stand. Hard to make it out due to the shadows. Weird spot for imo.

I think it would be great for Mike to get a NIGHT photo back over the new and old parking lots, the new entrance, the Fury turnaround and intimidator from the top of Fury's lift hill once all the construction is completed next week. Did I say NEXT WEEK? Wow. time flies. Only 13 more days until I can ride Fury!!
