Most likely the new land will be developed into the new parking lot, then the parking lot around the south gate will be demoed, then expanding the park. Keep in mind this is a long term project.

Thanks! :D

I don't really think that Carowinds would build a luxury resort/hotel because Great Wolf Lodge is in concord about 25 minutes up the road. My theory is that Kings Island's "Son Of Beast" could make it as a new coaster in the 2014/2015 season. Just a thought, please give me feedback
:)

^ Some of us (me included) have personally heard from some of the higher ups at the park that they are in fact planning a resort type thing. Great Wolf will have no effect on it, in fact, our resort just might hurt them! And I seriously don't see them lugging that big heap of lumber across 3 states...

Please for the love of God tell me you're kidding. You can't seriously think this is even the slightest bit possible in any circumstance whatsoever. If you're serious, I just... Oh my god I can't....

Yeahhhh Son Of Beast isn't going anywhere but the...where would you put all that lumber anyways? I guess just sell it back to a lumber yard or something.

It was just a theory, (Why is it that so many people on this site are such hotheads!!!!!!!!!!) jeese  :?

If they really want to build a resort, why don't they just buy the old PTL hotel over at Heritage USA and run a monorail over there? And the tower addition is still unfinished. Plus more room to expand. They could build a big coaster over there and call it the Holy Roller.

Cost I think? If I remember right, I heard a rumor on Screamscape about the possibility of Disney finally expanding the monorail system and eliminating a lot of the bus traffic.

Helipad? Who and why is there a helipad nearby?
