hi all! new to the forums. also, new to the park. planning on 6:30/7-10 tonight... anyone here going in late too? if so, anyone willing to be my "tour guide" and/or make a new coaster buddy? just me tonight; thought it wouldn't hurt to ask since otherwise i'd be that awkward single rider yelling enthusiastically to himself.

either way, i've been following CC religiously since the pixelcaster cams went live. can't wait to lose my mind on this beast, and maybe run into some of y'all.

My plans kinda shuffled a little bit. I am going Sunday, and will probably return at some point during the week.

How much traffic is everyone expecting around Carowinds at 5? I am getting off at 4, heading home getting the family and heading right over! I hope it won't be too busy. Wonder if they'll have the parking lot open and all that. No doubt they'll be a rush to Fury at 5 haha.

I get off at 3 but only work 2 exits north. I'll probably find a watering hole on Tryon St and avoid 77 completely. I hate that road.

Sitting in CPR training until 3, after that heading to the park. I live 80 some miles north of the park. I plan on heading straight for Intimidator!

Since I rode Fury last Sunday, my plan was to go right for Intimidator also....with everyone running to Fury.....but my sister wasn't with us last week, and she wants to go right for Fury....so that's the plan now haha

I plan to get there around 4. My son gets home from school at about 2:40, and I'll pick up my daughter at 3. After a quick stop home to drop off her stuff and let her change, we'll hit up the QT for drinks and snacks and head down 77. We're about 40 minutes away, so hopefully there will be no traffic, putting us there at, or just after, 4pm. But, that leaves us some time in case there's traffic (which, coming from North on 77, you just never know!).

I'm actually debating wearing my heavy jacket...and I think I will. I just went out to put something in the mailbox and was chilly...can't imagine what it will feel like on Fury! So if anyone sees me (in a Lowe's Racing jacket), with a teenage boy (wearing shorts, because he won't wear pants, and who desperately needs a haircut), and a girl (taller than me, lots of freckles), come on over and say hi!

Sounds good. I was thinking Mac's but Tilted Kilt is closer and easy to get in and out of. I'll be the older guy in the Fury hat.

I didn't know how the weather would be tonight so I brought a hoodie and my heavy coat just in case. I'll decide when I get to the park.
