Once the front gate is finished, it would be cool to see another one of those morph gifs with the Plantation House morphing to the new plaza. (Just a thought)

Yes, Mike did say that they would come back. But as to where they will be placed I have no idea. They could already be in there. Probably the trees that are along the state line path after you walk under the canopy.

The 8 flags are (supposed) to come back and will go where they originally were.

The price for Slingshot has been determined via the park's website:

Sling Shot is not included with park admission, a separate fee is required. Pricing: $25 per person. Riders can also purchase a souvenir USB drive featuring a Video of their experience for $20.

Also, Intimidator's still the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the southeast. :P

Back in the early 80's The Boy Scouts would hold a Jamboree at Carowinds. For two nights we would Camp out front in Grassy field that's now the new Parking lot. Some of my greatest memories of the scouts were at Carowinds. It's at one of the Jamboree that I finaly got the Courage up to ride White Lightning and the Cyclone and I have been a fan boy ever since. Proud of the Change sad to see a memory go. Did any of the older members ever go to the Jamboree @Carowinds ?

This would have been later. Probably 1989 or 1990.
