Everytime I visit Carowinds now, and goto the flyers, they seem so slow. I'm not sure if I was spoiled by C3, but it seems as if they were so much faster before. They take forever to get to their top speed, and even in the flyer it doesn't seem to travel as fast as it did. Does anyone else feel this? Please comment/vote.

Overall I think they flyers are running at about the same speed. They may run faster on certain days, and slower on others, but in general, the speed is constant. I think you may just be getting used to the thrill of snapping, and the are appearing slower and more placid.

I actually think they feel the same.

I did not get to go to Carowinds this year as much as I have in the past but they still feel the same.

It takes me about 5 revolutions to start the snap-attack and I still get many along the way.

To me it seems slower and a very short ride. But I guess that is just getting used to it after being on it 103 times.

To bring back and old thread, the ride hasn't changed at all.

I rode it 3 times yesterday and it was running exactly the same as when it opened in 2005.

Some serious snapping was going on yesterday too.

BTW avoid Tub #1, it's a dud to me. It takes forever to get going (but I finally did).

I rode the flyers for the first time thursday in about a year and it seemed to be the same speed as always.

When i rode them last week the speed seemed the same, but (and maybe it's b/c i only got to go a few times last year) the ride seemed a bit shorter than last year.
