Went over to the park earlier this evening for the Scarowinds "dress rehearsal."
Saw a preview of "Freakshow Deluxe" which will be on the Paramount stage each night. Some of you guys are going to absolutely love what that one lady is wearing. (Down Dave!) Leaves little to the imagination. She looked like that blonde who keeps sending me friend requests on myspace. Huneey I think is her name. Anyway, "Freakshow Deluxe" is your sideshow experience. Lying down on a bed of nails. Sticking nails into one's nostrils. Eating fire. Get the idea? Not my cup of tea but I found it amusing. It certainly got a reaction from the audience.
When we got there, we were handed pieces of papers that had different horror characters names on them. We were zombies. I figured Scott would have us as vultures. They split everybody up into different groups to tour the attractions. We got seperated from the zombies because Natividad wanted to go through Slaughterhouse.
I didn't go through Slaughterhouse at C3. From the pictures that I saw of the tour, it looked very Hostel/Saw-ish. I really liked it a lot. Natividad was surprised it wasn't more grislier in nature. I am in a way. But, I guess they didn't want to make it too intense.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: I love seeing this park dressed up for Halloween. With the red lights, the spider webs, and the fog, it certainly has a spooky ambiance. The area in Vortex plaza especially. It was really eerie seeing Ricochet covered in fog. I wished I could have been riding it tonight. But, we do have the ACE Night on Friday the 13th.
I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow. Look for it on News 14 and Channel 14 had a van out in the parking lot.
I always enjoy Scarowinds and this year looks to continue the tradition.
(Dave...I forgot to ask you know how if the rumours about the you know what is true...)
