[Carowinds2005]

Well looks like Carowinds has posted the new park hours for the 2008 season. I guess they didnt bring in the numbers and profits they had hoped to with the 10-10 closing. So, We only get 10-10 on Fridays in July.

NightHawk would work if they got rid of the Borg golf ball in the lake.. that name just doesnt tie in well with the sci fi theme. Flight Deck is retarded but more believable than Nighthawk on the borg.

I agree. I love NightHawk. I wonder if tey will spend the extra time and money to remove the sphere since it will no longer fit in.

They really need to sit down and come up with something better than flight deck. Just because they can't keep top gun does not mean they have to keep the same theme.

Just drop 'Top Gun" and leave it as "The Jet Coaster".

Also noticed Happy Days Diner is now "Jukebox Diner".

Flight Deck is just about as lazy as you can get IMO.

I know it's just a name, and therefore I will always call it Top Gun.

I think the park should have done like Hershey did and have a "name the coaster" contest.


Edit: They also forgot to update the descriptions for each ride. They still call it Top Gun in the description. lol

I agree. Just like the rest they renamed, anything I got more than 2 rides on doesn't get a name change(except the Eastern Sky Tower). Borg has a chance to get the name change since I only rode it once and I really don't like Star Trek, so it all works out! LOL

I can think of a few other names that would have been better IMO, Afterburner is one.

Top Gun could have been rethemed or something to get a better name. I understand the flight deck name and it fits with the theme, but it just does not have that bang to it. I like how CF done the "Patriot" at World's of Fun! But nighthawk fits well and the hours, well, thats a different story! <_<
