First of all, I'm fairly new here. Actually no i'm not, I just finally took the time to register.

Anyway, my question is that now that Cedar Fair had done away with the Paramount themed rides, will it do away with the Nickelodeon themes too?

Personally I think Nickelodeon has a bigger following than Snoopy does these days but not sure what the licensing issues are.

I think the Nick themes are second only to the Disney themes as far as children go. It would make sense to renew the license in 2010. That being said, the Nick stuff is very much a footprint left on the park by Paramount and I feel was more effective with the other Paramount properties and influences. Cedar Fair has a much more 'generic' amusment park way of doing things and I think that the park suffers a little because of it. I don't want to be unfair and not give CF the necessary time to make their mark, but so far the transition seems to have made the park kind of bland. Paramount Parks had a flair about it's setups that seemed to add an extra dash of entertainment value to Carowinds. It was the 'comercialism', for lack of a better word, of Paramount Parks that actually had that appeal. Some didn't like it...I did. Cedar Fair's reputation, most notably through Cedar Point, is to engage in the coaster arms race and I'm sure that once Carowinds gets its first steel wonder or whatever big plan attraction they have coming, I will certainly have a different take on CF. Back to your point though, I certainly hope that the Nick licence stays at Carowinds beyond 2010 and if CF had any sense they'd look to expand the Nick license to their non-Paramount properties 'cause Peanuts just isn't as popular with today's kids.
