General Carowinds discussion

No, nothing about the 2010 ride. No, no accidents or lawsuits.

But they did just get some good press on WBTV. They did a story on people going to the waterpark to beat the heat today, and Tonia Bendickson then said while she was out there with her kids today (not for the story) that Carowinds staff were going on the PA system to remind people to stay hydrated, and that free water was readily available at any of the food / drink stands.

The park has given away free water as long as I can remember, but I've never heard of them "advertising" it like this before. It's nice to hear about them looking out for their guests and reminding them that water is free, and that they should be taking advantage of it often to avoid any problems on a hot day.

Whyt should there be anything in the news reguarding lawsuits or accidents, to be honest if all that goes public that will bring bad reputation to the park, as far as the new ride they are hiding if for a couple reasons

1. they just got a new coaster this year
2. this new coaster will bring the funk into the park as i like to think

^ A recurring theme on the boards these days.

Thanks for the info KenB. My last time aboard the Skytower, the op was reminding guests of the benefits of hydration. I guess with FSS and the flume now gone, the park has an abundance of free water.

Hey buddy, If nothing is being said that interests you, than don't post. To be honest, if you don't have anything to contribute, than leave for good.

We welcome you to the boards Ravage, you do have to have a bit of thick skin to post here on a regular basis. However we definitely don't want to lose people, or send people away going "DON'T GO THERE THOSE PEOPLE ARE ***HOLES". I'm going to close this thread since its degenerated into a flame war of sorts.
