I was watching a local news clip of the NC State Fair last night and there was a coaster in the background. Any info on this coaster? I went to the fairs home page and can't even find who is bringing the midway to help further my research. It doesn't look all that thrilling (unless it has spinning cars) but it still may be worth my drive from Charlotte since I haven't been to the NC Fair since 2004.

While I am at it, does any one know if the Crazy Mouse and Flitzer are there this year? Thanks in advance.

I have no idea about the Crazy Mouse or the Flitzer, but I didn't notice them when I drove by on my way to the Canes game the other night.

The midway this year is Powers. The coaster is the RC-48, which used to be at Morey's Piers. Supposedly it is the largest traveling coaster in North America. I'm tempted to go down there and ride it but from what I hear it is absolutely terrible.

Thanks Jonathan. It must be privately owned as Powers does not list it on their website (at least I couldn't find it).
I wonder why it is getting bad reviews? It looks semi-exciting in this aerial photo:

I think Powers bought it last year, and I'm not sure they've updated their site in quite some time.

The ride has OTSR, and from what I understand it can get pretty painful in some of the transitions.
