Another sunday venture to the park. It was time to go get some coaster riding in so I left my kids behind (sad I know) and got some riding in. Started with Intimidator, of course. The line started to form very quickly at around 945ish, Luckily I was there early and was the 3rd person in the single rider line. Still had to wait until the 2nd train load though, not many groups of 1 3 etc, mainly 2's and 4's. So i got 5 rides in on intimidator before 10:30 and then I met up with my sister and neice and nephew. We ventured through some of the kid rides, and I did take my nephew on woodstock gliders, he loves it when I ride him cause he says we go way high. Also rode woodstock express, I still am impressed by this little coaster haha. After this, me and my sister and her husband and his parents hit some coasters, well one was always with the kids, but we did get to ride afterburn, hurler, vortex, and cyclone. I am very proud to say that my nephew rode cyclone for the first time, he wouldnt do it last weekend, but with a bribe (I had to get him a WII game) he rode and he loved. So now he has officically begun the coaster freak venture.... He does ride the little woodie and that other kid coaster, forgot the name already haha. My neice also rode the kids coasters and she is 4, she rode ricochet as well. She isnt tall enough for cyclone but she wanted to do it. Now I just got to get my nephew on cobra... Oh well he is only 7 so I will break him in slowly. After some fun times around that side of the park we made are way back around and rode nighthawk and had to do intimidator 1 more time. Then I had to leave and go to the mall, had to get him his game LOL. It was a great day again. It was moderately crowded. I am kinda glad to see how much more crowded sundays are this year than last, just for the purpose of the success of intimidator and the future of carowinds. I can see a BIG difference! So now I guess the best time to go is when its a rainy or gloomy day, thats the only time that no one was there...

Glad you had fun. I see a lot of bribing going on to get the younger kids on the Intimidator. It's pretty funny to watch. One boy was offered $60 from his father to ride and his reply was "How about $80?"

LOL If I had $60 everytime I rode intimidator..... I'd have a lot of money! I am glad the bribe worked on him though because now he will be more into coasters when he is older, he is only 7 so if I start him young then when he is older he will be a coaster enthusiast. My little neice is 4 and she would ride cyclone if she was big enough, but for now ricochet, the kid woodie, and the flying ace is what she can ride. My 3 year old is just tall enough for the kiddie stiuff now and she wont ride the wooden coaster yet, and my 6 year old well she has rode the woodie like 2 years ago but lately she was "too scared" but she did do the crabbie cabby coaster. I will get her on the coasters though with some silly band bribery. Its amazing how when the kids are younger they will do ANYTHING but as they get a little older they get scared... its crazy. I hope she overcomes her fears but all I can do is see if she will ride 1 time and if she likes it GREAT if not then that is OK too.
