I just might be there. I've been so out of the loop lately, a few night rides just might be what I need. My comanager called me from the pak today to tell me she had just gotten off Intimidator. Said it scared the s*** out of her. I was laughing so hard at her....


I'm meeting my riding partner Cindy at 6 tomorrow evening for some night rides.

We are going at opening, then leaving during the pm showers
And then coming back probably around 6 - close

Today gave some great rides and that 2nd trim never caught us a single time today

just looked and intimidator is only running two trains right now. They went down for about 10 minutes earlier today while we were there and we are getting ready to head back up and see they are down to the two. Huh, wonder what is up with that...

Yea, I saw the cam at around 5 and they were transferring a train into the shed. I guess its because a lot of people were leaving, maybe?

I am so mad I should be @ the park riding in the dark ERRRR

I want to be there too, but i more then made up for it at the local fair at a mall. got to ride the fireball (the delirium type ride) while it was raining and dark at the same time! That ride is insane anyways, but dang was it smoking in the rain! That was my first time riding so it was great to get night rides on it too! its now my favorite non-coaster ride ever! I think Carowinds should get one.

It was at the Haywood Mall here in Greenville. Today is the last day. Its a small carnival but the $20 wristband was worth every penny lol. I hope i can get some night rides on Intimidator this year. i will most likely have to wait till next year though.... unless i can find a way to go to Scarowinds.

Oh, ok. They usually have some kind of fair thing at carolina place as well, just dont know when it is.... I cant wait for night rides, I may go next weekend at night not sure. I am going to take my kids today here in a little bit. If it was my choice I would already be there but I have to wait for the wife to get closer from greensboro. I think the best night rides will be at coasterstock, it was great last year on thunder road and afterburn!

They ended up putting the 3rd train back on after 8PM. Ran into Max, Cindy, and Doug (Wormy). I got 4 rides, 3 nite rides, and all of them but one were outstanding. That ride eats thru people with 3 trains running. The 2nd trim hit hard on my third ride, but barely hit on the others, and on our last ride of the nite, I didn't feel it hit at all. This made all the difference in the world. If that 2nd trim is off or barely hits, it's a totally different ride. I'm moving it up in my rankings after last nite. It was flippin INCREDIBLE!

Couple of other notes, Afterburn was murdering at nite, both sides of Thunder Road were fun, but Silver hauled butt. Hurler, while jerky, usually always has airtime, but was rather boring last nite. Rode Gr8 Sk8 and it was fun, and rode Cyclone since we're both turning 30 this year. It's still one of the better Arrow loopers out there.
