I was just on the ACE SouthEast facebook page and they have posted a Winter Warm Up event @ SFoG. Thought I would share the details here in case you guys didnt see it on the facebook.


Join ACE Southeast as we team up with SIX regional parks to present the biggest event of 2011! Winter Warm Up brings presentations from Alabama Adventure, Carowinds, Dollywood, Lake Winnie, Six Flags Over Georgia and Wild Adventures together in one location for an all day event full of park presentations, give aways, and goodie bags that will surely be remembered long into the 2011 coaster season.

Keep checking back for more information regarding pricing and schedules as they will be posted as soon as we can figure them out!



I would love to go to this event, but would rather wait to actually RIDE dare devil dive...wonder if it will be opened...

Thank you for mentioning that here. I doubt they will have any rides open but I could be wrong. I would be going if I didn't already have plans for that weekend.

I've never been to SFoG, so when I do go, I want the park to be open so I can add to my count.

Thanks for posting that here and helping to spread the word.

This event is similar to the "No Coaster" and "East Coaster" events up North in that it's mainly a way for ACEer's and their guest to get together with park represenatives during the off season and get some one-on-one time with the parks to see what all they have to offer for the coming season or how the progress of anything new is coming along. There will be auctions and giveaways of things from parks as well.

There will be presentations from the six major parks in the Southeast and a catered lunch followed by a construction tour of Dare Devil Dive once the event is complete.

The specifics will be announced at a later time once they are finalized.

I've never been to SFoG, so when I do go, I want the park to be open so I can add to my count.

I suggest you attend the ACE Spring Fling event then. It's on Sunday, May 29 and ERT on Dare Devil Dive is on the schedule!

LOL! It didn't rain for this years Spring Fling (finally)! We hated to move it that far out, but the park really wanted to give us ERT on Dare Devil Dive instead of a construction tour, lol.

Maybe you can make it to Winter Warm Up. I just released the event flyer to be posted. Registration is $20 for ACE members and $25 for guests.

I am still trying to figure out my spring schedule. It's filled up quickly and 2010 isn't even over yet! I'll be at the ACE event at Kings Dominion on 5/21 and was planning Cedar Point on Memorial Day weekend during the Spring Fling. Regardless I asked for the weekend off of work so we'll see what pans out as it gets closer.

FYI for those interested... The mail in postmark deadline for this event is Wednesday, February 9 and the online registration deadline is Sunday, February 13.

While the mail in deadline has passed, the online registration is still open until Sunday. Presentations from Dollywood, SFoG, Alabama Adventure and Wild Adventures park people are on hand as well as a presentation from Carowinds that they have passed along to be shown.

There are also going to be goodie bags and surprises plus an all you can eat catered lunch from The Varsity. After lunch a construction tour of Dare Devil Dive is in order.
