Hi everyone! Newly registered, but I've lurked for a bit. I first visited Carowinds when I was in kindergarten and Thunder Road was under constuction. I had a season pass most years growing up.
I worked there, at Thunder Road, in the late 80's / early 90's. Since then, I've had a pass off and on, including the last two years since my kids have gotten old enough to enjoy going. So that's my story.
Just wanted to say this is a great site!
I'm heading to Carowinds at least two days next week on vacation. Of course, I'll be on the look out for interesting construction for the new coaster. I'll take pictures of anything that seems important to pass along here.
I'll be there Monday and Tuesday. Possibly Wednesday too. Not sure yet.
Gr8 Sk8 is gone? My kids loved that thing and will be devastated. Anyone know if they are going to relocate it?
