I usually avoid these shows and had not done one in years. The last I saw was a boring Snoopy show and I had not been back since. Last night I was hot and somewhat wobbly legged after riding Fury 5 times and needed to sit in a cool place for a while to gather myself, when I heard the announcement that the show was starting in 10 minutes. Since I was right infront of the place, I thought it would be a good opportunity to chill.
I was not disapointed at all. That was one of the better live shows I've ever seen at the park. The kids had great voices and were very enthusiastic.
After dinner, I decided to do the same with Snoopy Starlight, never bothered with that until last night. That was very over rated, I was expecting more. I left before it even fininshed to go ride Fury more. Speaking of dinner, I got a turkey leg because the last one I got was so tender and delicious. Not this time. I think somebody killed a very old tom turkey for that one. I guess the server thought they were being generous by giving me the biggest one they had. Man it was a fight. I felt like I was in one of those anti acid commercials where the food was fighting back. I had to forget what surrounding people thought and put my knife and fork down and do it caveman style. Finally I got embarrassed, becasue some little kid was staring at me and just gave up. Advice to all, next time you buy a turkey leg, do not think they are doing you a favor by giving you the biggest one.
There was a big crowd around the Center Stage and I guess people were doing Karaoke, that seemed like it was a big hit, but I did not hang around to watch because Fury was calling.
The Fireworks were ok for a slow Tuesday night but not worth hanging around for on a busy Fourth of July and enduring the traffic. There were lots of places to sit in the entry plaza, so I sat there and watched.
