I'm currently waiting on our manager to give me an audition date. It is okay for me to work at Vortex during daytime operation, then turn around and be a scaracter at night. I am very excited for it!

Hey there! First year SCarowinds monster here! Basically what happened was I checked in at the employment office, reviewed my application and then they handed me a few forms to sign. After that, I was given a sheet with some notes on it and I had to kind of create my own "scare-actor" which was pretty fun but difficult because I struggle with creativity, but they seemed to like what I put together! Then, I went to the audition room, they asked a few basic questions like "Why?" and then we showcased our characters. I got the thumbs up and then my measurements were taken. You go back to the employment office after that and they explain from there! :D

That sounds really nice! Do you get any control over what days/times you work? I want to apply but I might have a few schedule conflicts...

You'll get an availability sheet when you go to the auditions where you mark all the dates when you are NOT available! I'm a first year hire so I assume that they will make your schedule based on that. I heard from a friend that if something comes up on a night you're scheduled for to just communicate with your maze/scarezone manager and they usually are ok with you missing a night!
