Well, since every other coaster board on the Internet has mass amounts of whining and heartbreak about Kings Island losing its flying scooters, I figured I'd start one here to celebrate them moving down here. I personally haven't been this excited about an addition since Top Gun. Hopefully they will be run the same speed as they were in Ohio and snapping will be allowed. <crosses fingers>

Uhh.. KarowindsKat.. those flyers are in fact Kings Dominion's.. :blink:

While I dunno if I have any real pics of the flyers, I know they are in the season pass newsletter <a href='http://www.pbase.com/jamminj/image/34427394' target='_blank'>seen here</a>. May search for something better a little later..

On another note "WOO WE GET TEH FLYERS" is in order with much LOLING at the <a href='http://www.rideworld.com/boards/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=10107' target='_blank'>fanboys</a>. Especially the ones who are saying "I'M NEVER GOING TO PKI AGAIN!!!11 THEY HAVE NO RIEDES NOW!!11" I just say, excellent, I hope you don't go, one less person in front of me in line.

What makes me laugh is that PKI is getting a brand new state of the art coaster in 05, but some of PKI'ers are raising cane because the flyers are leaving. Maybe they have something in the water around PKI or something.

Well, I can understand how PKI'ers are upset at losing their beloved flyers. This is an original Bish-Rocco Flyer, that was at Coney Island Ohio before Kings Island. The older ones like these have much better flying action than the newer Larson models. The sails are bigger, the tubs are lighter and the speed is just right for snapping delight.

Hey, this will also be the parks second oldest ride behind the carousel.

One of the people on the other boards said that her grandmother had rode on the swings back when they were at Coney Island (Ohio), so I guess you could say some people have a sentimental connection with them.

This is AWESOME great news! A fantastic, historical, classic flat set of flyers coming to Carowinds.... WHOOTAH!

These are maybe the only flat I like more than Circle Swings. I do feel sorry for PKI for losing them but... I still feel sorry for Cali losing Stealth. I think we got a great coaster in Borg.

Have you ever ridden a rollercoaster. Well its more of a kiddie rid tan a thrill but it is still a lot of fun and welcome to the forums.

Why do we need it...The kids dont care how AS looks or how many rides are there. How is the park supose to have movie theming and we add some crap we dont need.
