It never fails, everytime I go to Carowinds it is jam packed. When is the best time to go to the park. Are the weekends pretty busy in the beginning and after it opens up all week when is the best day to go? Thanks.

Generally, I find that ANY day except Saturday is a good day to go. Obviously, weekdays are lighter and Sunday mornings are usually light.

In my experience Saturdays are the worst of course.

But if you get there when they open the park the first two hours you can ride almost all the coasters (except for Borg because everyone goes there first).

When Top Gun was new I'd hit Top Gun while the passholders had their ERT and then at 10:00 when the GP came in I'd hit all the other coaster and would be done by Noon!

Usually I go on a wednesday or tuesday, or homeschooler's day (yay discount ). And those tend to be pretty light crowds.
