Arrived at the park opening. After heading for Top Gun we only had to wait for about 10 minutes. The rides very smooth and seemed to be running nicely. Although when we got off a member of our group complained on it being “boring”. <_<

After this it was too the Fairly Odd Coaster. And as some minor news, I don’t know if anyone has noticed this before, but the Wanda train (Pink Train) now has a face on it instead of the Carowinds logo. Afterward the flyers. I must admit I didn’t think that these would be much, and thought they where quite overrated due to being “The New Ride”. But I was wrong. Dead wrong. These where very thrilling, and one of the best rides to come to Carowinds in years.

Ounce the flyers where done we circled the park riding Runaway Reptar (It was OK, felt slower than usual this time and not rough as everyone complains about) Borg (The line was HUGE! Way past the loop and close to the entrance. We had to wait for 1-1 ½ hours to get on.) Then Goldrusher, Vortex, and Ricochet. (All great rides as usual)

Hurler, Drop Zone, Carolina Cyclone after this. Hurler was running kind of rough. It seemed that it was so much so that the train scrubbed off a lot of speed by the time it reached the end. As for the Cyclone. Blah. This ride is good, but really, only worth one ride. I actually wouldn’t mind if it where torn down for this “hyper” you all keep talking about. Or any other ride that could take it’s place for that matter. It doesn’t seem that it even gets decent attendance anymore, nor does it please many people. But then again, I have not ever come on weekends. This was our first ride on Drop Zone. *Had only recently developed a drop tower taste* And dang, it took everyones breath away.

Spent mid afternoon hours riding various Air Conditioned and water rides. (It was boiling hot) SB3D proved to be the most entertaining out of these. I liked it a lot, but come on Paramount, it’s been 3 years. Is it not time for an update? And what about side B. Neglecting it like this. Perhaps if they update the water park next year then they can at least put a few new ones in both sides to advertise some new dry rides as well.

After being cooled off it was around 3:00. And the park was about dead empty for some reason. We where able to ride Goldrusher, Thunder Road (Which was running smooth as silk by the way, and racing!), Ricochet, and Hurler many times around when our Queues where empty. And from there basically rode every coaster (And some flat rides) again until closing. Even Borg’s line was only about a 10-minute wait.

Some advice. Go on a Wednesday! The park is empty on this day.
